No Laughter At Your Table
I didn't know there is no laughter at your table.
My heart was lonely, just a plain piece of baloney.
Don't you have time to eat?
Looks were poured like wine, calls added spice.
I was polite, everything nice.
Thanks for sitting down.
Desire folded neatly in my lap.
Apathy ready to eat after caught in a trap.
My confidence was boosted.
I said a cute joke, but I guess I choked
because their was no laughter at your table.
Now the food has gotten cold. I guess I was too bold.
Excuse me, I laughed so hard that I cried.
